Charter Terms & Conditions
This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for booking and operating a crewed charter experience with Captain Juan.
1. Reservations and Payments

An initial deposit is required to confirm the reservation. The amount varies depending on the selected vessel and will be clearly stated in the initial quote.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 70 days prior to the charter start date.

For bookings made less than 70 days before departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Failure to make timely payments may result in cancellation and applicable penalties.
2. Cancellations and Changes

Cancellation penalties are as follows:

More than 100 days prior to departure: 25% penalty (deposit)

Between 99 and 70 days: 50% penalty

Between 69 and 40 days: 75% penalty
-
Less than 40 days: No refund
-
Refunds will be processed within 40 days of cancellation notice.

Date, destination or boat changes may be treated as cancellations and are subject to availability.

In force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics), no refunds will be issued. However, paid amounts may be credited for a future charter with no expiration date.
3. Responsibilities
Captain Juan is responsible for managing the crewed experience, provisioning, activities, and guest service during the charter. Vessels are chartered from third-party providers. While we strive to offer the highest-quality boats available, any mechanical issues or equipment malfunctions remain the responsibility of the boat owner or operator. In such cases, any compensation or refund will depend on the policies of the vessel’s provider.
4. Required Information
At least two weeks prior to embarkation, guests must provide:

Full passenger list

Copies of passports or official ID

Flight or travel details

Any food allergies or special requirements
5. Insurance and Liability

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance with cancellation and medical coverage.

Captain Juan is not liable for disruptions caused by weather, illness, transportation delays, or other events beyond our control.

Any damage caused by passengers may be subject to additional charges.
